If anyone out there has an ESPN.com Fantasy Football draft coming up, be prepared for a very problematic Java draft applet. Of course, it could just be us freeloaders who get it. I suppose they'd figure it's what we get for not padding Disney's coffers.

I think it could have been a lot worse. Once we reached the point when being kicked off meant having to sit tight for 30 seconds while it reconnected rather than having to shut it down and then relaunch it really wasn't so bad. But then I had plenty of time between picks so maybe my point of view is a little skewed.

Going in the middle had its issues, considering the Bruce and I both wound up with people we perhaps wouldn't have drafted otherwise (the Bruce is OK with his; I can tolerate mine, though I had no intention to draft Whitten at the time).

In retrospect it wasn't as phenominal a cock-up as it could have been, but it wasn't pretty. I'd have done without some of the bells and whistles to have a connection during the entire draft.

Next year, we draft at 3 am on a Tuesday.
